The Garrett County Gran Fondo is a "Win-The-Fight" Event that benefits the Joanna M Nicolay Melanoma Foundation.
All participants are provided with a personalized fundraising page and are encouraged to raise funds to help the Foundation in it's mission to:
- Educate the general public on prevention and the seriousness of melanoma
- Support medical research that will ultimately lead to a cure for melanoma
- Provide resources for patients and the entire melanoma community

Fundraisers receive these excellent awards based on amount raised:
- "Champions" raising $1000 earn:
- an exclusive Garrett County Gran Fondo bike jersey
- a Garmin Edge 500 GPS bike computer with the Gran Fondo routes preloaded
- One ticket for the "Champion" Fundraiser Prize Raffle and an additional ticket for every $100 raised above $1000.
